License Key Registry: Toad For Oracle
Organizations deploying Toad across many machines can pre-populate the registry with a valid license key via script (e.g., .reg file, PowerShell, or Group Policy).
Create a .reg file with the following content (adjust path and key format):
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\14.0\License] "Key"="TOAD-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX" "LicenseType"="Commercial"toad for oracle license key registry
Deploy via command line:
regedit /s deploy_toad_license.reg Deploy via command line:
regedit /s deploy_toad_license
If Toad keeps prompting for a license even after entering a valid key, residual registry entries may be corrupted. Deleting the License key under the relevant path forces Toad to request reactivation.
Toad for Oracle, developed by Quest Software, is a powerful database management and development tool. Like many commercial software products, it validates licenses either through an online portal, a license server, or a local license key stored in the Windows Registry. developed by Quest Software
