Most retail players never experienced the full Mind Over Mutant because the DLC was delisted in 2012. On JTAG/RGH, all DLC is archived forever.

The core innovation is “Jacking.” Crash can spin certain enemies into a dazed state, then jump on their backs to control them. Each enemy has unique abilities: Crash Bandicoot Mind Over Mutant -Jtag RGH-

Unlike classic Crash games that relied on linear corridor jumping, Mind Over Mutant is a semi-open world brawler. Key features include: Most retail players never experienced the full Mind

The story sees Crash’s arch-nemesis, Dr. Neo Cortex, releasing a new device called the "N.V." (Portable Personal Evice). These handheld gadgets pacify the mutant creatures of Wumpa Island, turning them into obedient slaves. When Crash resists the hypnotic power of the N.V., Cortex sics Coco, Crunch, and a brainwashed Aku Aku on him. The result is a surprisingly challenging quest where Crash must "jack" enemies to explore new areas. Each enemy has unique abilities: Unlike classic Crash

Playing this on a Jtag/RGH system today is a trip back to the "Radical Entertainment" era of Crash. It reminds us of a time when Crash had a distinct "punk" attitude, talking freely with Aku Aku and Uka Uka, and utilizing the comedic writing that became a staple of the series.

The "Mind Over Mutant" concept—using the NV masks to control enemies—is still satisfying. Being able to quick-swap mutants and utilize their unique abilities to solve environmental puzzles feels great on the Xbox 360 controller.
