Even with a fresh installation, you may encounter these problems:

Issue 1: Arabic text appears reversed.

Issue 2: CS6 crashes on startup (Windows 11).

Issue 3: Can't save to Cloud.

Issue 4: Missing Kashida feature.

Many schools and small print shops in the MENA region run on older Windows 7 or 10 machines. The latest Illustrator CC requires modern processors, 16GB+ of RAM, and constant internet validation. Illustrator CS6 ME runs like lightning on a Core i3 with 4GB of RAM.

While CS6 was the last "perpetual license" version before the Creative Cloud transition, the foundation it laid remains the standard today. The features introduced in CS6 ME are now maintained and updated in Adobe Illustrator CC, with current iterations offering even more advanced Arabic fonts (such as Naskh and Kufic styles via Adobe Fonts) and variable font support.
