Zgemma H11s Review Top May 2026

The H11S ships with a generic OpenATV 6.4 (or newer 7.x depending on stock). You must flash your own preferred image.

Best images for the H11S:

Wi-Fi & Networking: The H11S has no internal Wi-Fi. You must use a USB dongle (Realtek RTL8812AU works best) or simply use the Gigabit LAN port. I recommend wired – wireless dongles cause latency with 4K IPTV. zgemma h11s review top

CEC Control: Works flawlessly with LG and Samsung TVs. The remote can control TV volume/power out of the box after HDMI-CEC setup in the menu.

After scanning satellite forums (LinuxSat Support, TechKings), here are the top three H11S issues and fixes: The H11S ships with a generic OpenATV 6

Issue 1: Box freezes on boot after installing a skin. Fix: Boot into rescue mode (hold power button on boot) and telnet init 4 && opkg remove enigma2-plugin-skins-fhd && init 3.

Issue 2: Oscam/CCCam keeps disconnecting. Fix: Disable "Power saving" in Network settings. The NIC driver sometimes parks on low power. Wi-Fi & Networking: The H11S has no internal Wi-Fi

Issue 3: No audio on 4K HDR content via HDMI. Fix: Go to Audio settings > Downmix AC3 to PCM. The HDMI handshake on some older AVRs fails.

The Zgemma H11S arrives in the brand’s standard minimalist cardboard box. Inside, you get:

Build Quality: Unlike cheap plastic Android boxes, the H11S features a matte, slightly textured chassis with a hidden front LED display. The plastic feels dense enough to prevent warping when warm. Ports on the back include 1x HDMI 2.0, 1x USB 2.0, 1x USB 3.0, 1x Gigabit Ethernet, an S/PDIF optical out, and two DVB-S2X F-connectors (twin tuner). This is a major upgrade over the H9S’s older USB layout.
