How can one test the truth of their love for Allah?

In the theatre of the human heart, love is the central drama. Every soul is pulled by invisible cords of attachment—toward people, power, status, beauty, or comfort. Yet, in one luminous verse of the Qur’an, Allah draws a sharp, eternal distinction between two kinds of love: the love that rivals the Divine, and the love that rises to the Divine. Allah says:

“And among the people are those who take other than Allah as equals [to Him], loving them as only Allah should be loved. But those who believe are stronger in their love for Allah.”

The idols you loved more than God will run away from you on Judgment Day. Your money will not speak for you. Your status will not shield you. Your lover will not sacrifice themselves for you. But Allah, for those who loved Him ashaddu hubban, will be their Companion.
