Verify file format: ensure it's a raw binary image expected by Xemu, not an archive.

Temporarily disable antivirus/sandbox that may block access.

Start Xemu from a terminal/console to capture stdout/stderr logs and paste the relevant error lines.

Update Xemu to latest release or try a known-good build.

Or put it anywhere you prefer, but you must point Xemu to it.

On Linux/macOS, ensure the file is readable:

chmod +r ~/.local/share/xemu/xemu/mcpx_1.0.bin
