Valtra Error Code L302 -

The sensor itself degrades over time due to heat cycling. Its internal diaphragm can drift, sending a voltage signal (0.5V – 4.5V) that does not match true rail pressure. On older Valtra models (pre-2015), sensor drift is extremely common.

Disconnect the sensor. Measure resistance between signal and ground – typically it should be 100–200 kΩ at rest, changing smoothly as pressure is applied (requires a calibrated pressure source). Without specialized tools, the easiest method is substitution with a known-good sensor.

Valtra tractors are sensitive to fuel restriction. If your primary and secondary fuel filters are clogged with wax (winter), algae (diesel bug), or general sediment, the high-pressure pump cannot build enough volume to hit the target pressure. valtra error code l302
