If you are applying for the Indian Army, whether through the Agniveer scheme, NCC Special Entry, or other categories, you will often encounter a requirement for an "Unmarried Certificate." Step 1: Purchase Non-Judicial Stamp Paper
Go to a licensed stamp vendor (near the district court or any cooperative society). Buy stamp paper of Rs. 10 or Rs. 20 (Rs. 100 is also acceptable but unnecessary). The stamp paper must be in your name or an open “Bearer” stamp.
Step 2: Type/Print the Format

Step 3: Visit a Notary Public
Take the printed stamp paper, along with proof of identity (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport) and proof of age (10th Certificate), to a Notary Public or First Class Judicial Magistrate.
Step 4: Oath & Registration
You will swear the affidavit in front of the notary. The notary will sign, put their seal, and write the registration number. Ensure the notary’s stamp is legible.
Step 5: Get it Attested (If Required for TES/Officer Entry)
For Officer entries, some AROs require the certificate to be attested by a Gazetted Officer (Tehsildar, SDM, or DSP) or the village Sarpanch (for rural candidates). Check your specific notification.
Step 6: Self-Attested Photograph
