Editor 2021 — Torchlight 3 Save

If you used the editor to give yourself Fort Reputation points before building the required rooms, the Fort questline would break. You would be stuck with a "Ghost Architect" who wouldn't speak to you. The only fix was to revert to a pre-edit save.

Before opening the editor, copy the SaveGames folder to your desktop. Edits in 2021 were known to occasionally corrupt the Level_Map.bin file, forcing a map reset. torchlight 3 save editor 2021

This is the tricky part. Torchlight III save files are not neatly labeled text files. They are binary blobs. You have to "Search" for existing values to find where they are stored. If you used the editor to give yourself

Scenario: Editing Gold

  • Press Ctrl+F in HxD and search for that Hex string (Search for "Hex-values").
  • Once found, highlight the bytes representing your current gold.
  • Type your new Hex value (from Step 2).
