As of the time of writing (late 2024/early 2025), Bandai Namco has not announced further updates for Starlit Season. The team is focused on the new title, The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors – Song of Prism. Therefore, v1.61 is likely the final version of the game.
The "Goldberg fixed" patch for v1.61 will remain the definitive offline version for years to come. However, new Windows updates (e.g., Windows 12) may break the emulator. The fixed version is slightly faster due to the absence of Denuvo’s real-time checks and Steam API call overhead.
