The Attack: Suddenly, drums beat, and the sky turns dark. The first wave of the Tao Tie army attacks the Wall. William and Tovar initially plan to escape, but witnessing the bravery of the Nameless Order, William chooses to stay and fight. Using his archery skills and combat experience, he fights alongside General Lin and saves many soldiers.

This act earns him the trust of the Chinese commanders, particularly General Lin, who sees a warrior's spirit in him, unlike his mercenary partner Tovar.

Betrayal and The Plan: While William bonds with the army, Tovar teams up with another western captive, Sir Ballard (Willem Dafoe), to steal the Black Powder and escape during the chaos.

In the capital, the Emperor is terrified. The Queen Tao Tie is located on the tower, commanding her hive. The Nameless Order realizes they cannot kill the Queen with normal weapons because her guards protect her. William suggests a daring plan: use a captured Tao Tie tied to a large amount of Black Powder to create a suicide bomb.

The Final Battle: In a thrilling sequence atop the capital tower, William and General Lin execute the plan. They must strike the magnetic stone on the Queen's head to disable her defenses while the explosive-laden beast approaches. Just moments before disaster, they succeed. The explosion kills the Queen, causing the rest of the mindless Tao Tie army to freeze and die without her command.

The Ending: China is saved. The Nameless Order honors William. As a reward for his bravery, he is given a horse and supplies. However, he rejects the Black Powder he originally came for, realizing that greed is not worth the cost of life.
