For the orbit puzzle he projected the star's spin into the glyph matrix, folding time into melody. The third pylon forced strategy—he gave up a route he'd mapped so a secret passage opened elsewhere. The mirror asked a question disguised as a riddle: "Which version of you will you save?" Jax chose the one who would learn, not the one who would hide, and the mirror dissolved into light.
