The Sharp AR-5316 was released in the mid-2000s, primarily supporting Windows 98, ME, 2000, and XP. At the time, Windows Vista was just emerging. Sharp never officially released a dedicated Windows 10 driver for the AR-5316. The last "official" driver package from Sharp was for Windows XP and Windows 2000.

When you connect an AR-5316 to Windows 10, the operating system looks for a signed driver with a digital certificate. Because Sharp stopped updating the firmware and drivers for this model over a decade ago, Windows 10 does not automatically recognize it.
