Windows does not display a simple "total uptime" clock by default, but multiple built‑in tools provide this information.

This is almost always Fast Startup. The system writes kernel memory to disk, then loads it back, making boot seem instantaneous. To see true on/off times, disable Fast Startup: Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what power buttons do > Change settings unavailable > Uncheck "Turn on fast startup". PC On Off Time

  • Interpreting the List:
    If you see a 6006 followed later by a 6005, that window was a clean shutdown and restart.
    If you see a 6005 without a prior 6006, the PC either crashed or lost power.
