New In City -v0.1- By Dangames
Scene — First Morning: You wake in a narrow apartment with a crooked window overlooking a back alley. A neighbor’s radio hums the morning talk; a sticky note on your door reads “Welcome — groceries in fridge. — M.” Outside, steam curls from bakery vents. On the street, a kid chases pigeons while a woman unloads crates of oranges. You can: check the fridge, head out to the market, or knock on Mara’s door.
Scene — Flea Market Bargain: At the Sunday market, an elderly vendor offers a brass compass in exchange for fixing his shop sign. Fixing requires buying a small toolkit or trading a story that cheers the vendor. The compass reveals a marker on your map: the location of an abandoned pier with a hidden mural and a note from the city’s past.
Scene — Quiet Confrontation: You discover Simone’s rare book is missing. You trace clues to a junior council aide who admits taking it for appraisal. You can choose to press for public reparation (hurting the aide’s career but restoring community trust), quietly retrieve it for a favor, or broker a donation deal — each yielding different community reactions.

At its core, New in City -v0.1- By DanGames places you in the worn-out sneakers of a recent transplant. You have no reputation, no savings to speak of, and only a crudely drawn map of a sprawling, procedurally generated metropolis. The objective is deceptively simple: survive, establish a routine, and carve out a name for yourself. However, as any player of New in City -v0.1- will tell you, the city fights back.
Version 0.1 focuses on the first seven days. You must find temporary shelter, secure odd jobs from shady terminals, and learn the unspoken social hierarchy of NPC factions. Unlike other life sims where you are a hero, here you are an ant. The game’s tagline, “No one is coming to save you,” is a promise DanGames intends to keep.
Each character has a short-term need, a medium-term arc, and a long-term secret or ambition that the player may influence. | Game | Starting Currency | Map Size
