The million-dollar question: Can you load your v097 save file?
Technically, yes. The patcher will attempt to convert your old save. However, if you had the broken economy (houses worth $12), your character will either be a trillionaire or destitute. The community strongly recommends a fresh start. The early game in v098 has been rebalanced. The new tutorial (where you wake up in a crash-landed escape pod instead of a generic bedroom) teaches you the new mechanics much better.

After 40 hours of playtesting the v098 patched release across three different operating systems, here is the verdict:
Verdict: This is the first "Gold" build of My New Life Revamp. If you quit in frustration six months ago, come back. Status: Active | Stability: High | User Satisfaction:
No patch is perfect. v098 introduces three hilarious/annoying bugs that the team is already working on (v098.1 is rumored for next month).
Bug #1: The Invisible Dog Pets were added in v098. However, the collision mesh for the Golden Retriever is sometimes misaligned. You will hear barking, feel the dog blocking your path, but see nothing. Fix: Save and reload. The dog will reappear, usually sitting on your stove.
Bug #2: The Reverse Aging Glitch If you eat a salad immediately after lifting weights, the game’s metabolism tracker sometimes subtracts a day from your age. You can theoretically become a teenager again. It breaks the main story quest. Fix: Don’t eat salad after the gym. Eat a burger.
Bug #3: The Silent Telephone Your phone will ring. You will answer it. There is no audio. The subtitles read: “The silence is the point. Go outside.” This is actually a meta-joke from the developer. It doesn’t crash the game. Just hang up and the call won’t recur for 24 in-game hours.
This is the big one. Several romance routes (specifically the "Librarian" and "Rooftop Neighbor") were flagged as "Unreachable" in the code. My New Life Revamp v098 flips these switches to "Active." You can now marry the Librarian without using a cheat engine.
