Originally slated for release in 2009 but delayed multiple times, Rebirth finally dropped on February 2, 2010, via Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records, and Universal Motown. The Deluxe Version of the album is an expanded edition containing two additional tracks not found on the standard pressing: "I’m Single" and "My Generation (feat. The Lollipop Guild)" .
The core concept was audacious: Lil Wayne, known for his auto-tuned slur and weed-induced metaphors, would front a rock band. Trading 808s for distorted power chords, Weezy attempted to blend rap-rock, post-grunge, and electronic rock, citing influences like Nirvana and Blink-182. Rebirth is not Lil Wayne’s best album
