I am using WinCC Runtime Advanced (TIA Portal V17/V18/V19). When I try to enable WinCC Logging (data logging / archiving) or use the "Runtime Advanced" link to test logging features, I get the error:
"License key not available for WinCC Logging"
or
"The license for 'WinCC Logging' is not installed or not accessible." I am using WinCC Runtime Advanced (TIA Portal V17/V18/V19)
The Runtime Advanced link either fails to start logging, or the logging configuration is greyed out.

This is a frequent point of confusion. If your project is actually a WinCC Professional project, the licensing architecture is different. WinCC Professional has its own set of licenses that bundle logging differently. "License key not available for WinCC Logging"
Siemens licenses must reside in specific root directories:
If you see the license in ALM but WinCC still complains, the "link" is broken.
