Their hideout is an abandoned library on the outskirts of the village, where they sneak in to read forbidden books on critical thinking, science, and history.

As their movement grows, they attract the attention of the government. The Minister of Forgetting labels them "The Thinkers," and deems them a threat to the societal status quo. Bowo and his friends are pursued, but their resilience and determination only grow.

In a surprising turn of events, Bowo comes across a plan by a global tech giant to buy Indonesia's digital infrastructure. The plan, masqueraded as an investment, would essentially enslave the population in a loop of endless consumption and idiocy. Seeing this as the ultimate threat, Bowo and his society decide to act.
