As of 2024, Kodansha (the publisher) has only officially released volumes 1-47 in English digitally via BookWalker and Amazon Kindle, but they stopped physically printing them years ago. Volumes 48 through 140+ remain unlicensed in English.
Because the series is actively running (currently in the "Boxer's Fist" arc), and the official English release is years behind Japan, the fan-translation community operates in a preservationist grey zone. An "exclusive download" is typically a fan project meant for archiving, not resale.
Warning: Beware of scam sites offering "Exclusive Hajime no Ippo downloads" for money. Real exclusive files are distributed freely by scanlation teams via IRC, Discord, or Torrent archives. Never pay for fan-translated content.
