The most controversial aspect of the original was its rushed prologue. In v0.1.95, Cheesecake3D has tripled the length of the opening chapter. Instead of immediately receiving your "Godson" powers, you now endure a 45-minute (minimum) introduction that establishes your mundane life, your fractured family ties, and the mysterious disappearance of your biological father. This slow burn pays off in spades during the first major confrontation.
In Part 1 of the Remake, puzzles are usually simple fetch quests or finding a specific time.
If you played the original Godson, the first thing you will notice in this remake is the lighting. Cheesecake3D has moved toward a more cinematic, high-contrast aesthetic. The character models, particularly the divine entities and the love interests, boast improved subsurface scattering—meaning skin looks like skin, not plastic.
