In older versions, you spammed coconut juice. In v0106, coconuts have a 40% chance to give you "Tropical Sickness" (diarrhea = rapid dehydration). Instead, find the river immediately and craft a Clay Water Filter (requires 2 clay + 5 fiber).

No installer is required. Unzip the folder and run ForsakenIsle.exe. The game is portable. Save files are stored locally in Documents/MyGames/ForsakenIsle/Saves. Version 0106 save files are not backwards compatible with v0104, so back up your old saves.
Look at the bottom-right corner of your UI. The new Tempest Meter fills up slightly each day. Once it hits 100%, a hurricane will hit. Build at least a Wooden Frame Shelter before Day 8. Thatch will not cut it.
