EDIUS X handles high frame rate (HFR) footage better than most.

Problem: "Clip has unsupported color space." Fix: Go to System Settings > Importer > RAW and set "Color Space" to Rec.709 or HLG. edius x tutorial

Problem: Timeline stutters even with EDIUS. Fix: Turn off "Windows Game Mode" in Windows Settings. EDIUS needs full GPU access.

Problem: Audio is out of sync. Fix: Right-click the clip in the bin > Timecode > Offset. This is common with Variable Frame Rate (VFR) screen recordings (OBS). Use Handbrake to convert to Constant Frame Rate.

Once your edit is complete:

  • Click the Encoder button.
  • Adjust quality settings (Bitrate).
  • Click Start.

  • Add visual effects and transitions:

    Retiming a clip: Hold Ctrl while dragging the edge of a clip. The clip shrinks (speeds up) or expands (slows down) as you drag. No dialogue boxes needed.
