Once installation finishes:

You have the console—now you need endpoints to manage it. The ESET Management Agent is the bridge between your server and each device.

This guide assumes you’re installing the ESET PROTECT Server and Web Console on-premises for a small environment. If you plan to use a cloud-hosted ESET solution or different topology (e.g., separate DB server, high-availability), follow ESET’s enterprise deployment docs for those specifics.

Your server is now running, but an empty console is useless. You must deploy the ESET Management Agent to entry-level workstations and servers.

To actually "protect" devices, you must deploy the ESET Management Agent to them.

To download and install ESET PROTECT Entry, follow the steps below.

Note: "ESET PROTECT Entry" is the new name for what was previously known as ESET Remote Administrator (ERA). It is used for managing ESET endpoint products on a network.
