Dark Souls 3 Elamigos: Repack
The repack usually comes as a single .exe file plus several .bin files (e.g., setup.exe, data-1.bin, data-2.bin). Download all of them into the same folder.
Because the repack disables EAC, it is actually easier to mod than the official Steam version. Popular overhaul mods like Cinders, The Convergence, and Champions Ashes work flawlessly with the Elamigos repack, provided you manually place the files in the Game folder.
Fix: Install DirectX Redistributables. The _Redist folder in the game directory contains the correct installer.
How does the Elamigos repack stack up against competitors like FitGirl, DODI, or Xatab?
| Feature | Elamigos | FitGirl | DODI | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | Compression ratio | High (12.5GB) | Very High (9.8GB) | Medium (15GB) | | Installation speed | Fast (20 min on average) | Slow (45-60 min due to decompression) | Moderate (30 min) | | Selective downloads | Yes (languages, videos) | Yes (more granular) | No | | Crack stability | Excellent (CODEX/Goldberg) | Excellent (CODEX) | Good (Ali213) | | Ease of modding | Easy (EAC disabled by default) | Easy (same) | Moderate (sometimes re-locks EAC) |
Verdict: Choose FitGirl for the smallest download size, but choose Elamigos for speed and reliability. Elamigos has fewer corrupted archive reports and a simpler setup interface.
