This short paper examines Cyberpunk 2077's keyboard control scheme as a design artifact that mediates player agency, accessibility, and immersion. By analyzing default bindings, remapping flexibility, context-sensitive inputs, and community-driven mods, the paper argues that keyboard controls shape player strategies and social practices in open-world RPGs. It highlights tensions between complexity and discoverability and offers design recommendations to improve inclusivity without sacrificing depth.
