Due to a separate licensing agreement with EA Sports (which held exclusive rights to use Notre Dame’s marks in college sports games at the time), 2K could not include the Fighting Irish. This was particularly notable because Notre Dame’s 2007–08 team, led by Luke Harangody and Kyle McAlarino, was ranked in the top 25 for much of the season.
