Run the game and Cheat Engine inside the VM.
The hypervisor isolates anti-cheat detection, and Thread 0 scans work normally.

Downside: Many modern games detect VMs and refuse to run. Verify Game Compatibility :

If you are running a 64-bit game but using the default 32-bit Cheat Engine (or vice versa), memory pointers become misaligned. Thread 0 might be reading a register that doesn't exist in the address space. The "100 upd" error appears because the scanner is waiting for a memory update that will never come.
