In April 2023, a YouTuber named BlizzardOfWar released a fake "leaked internal trailer" for Call of Duty: American Rush 3. The trailer used AI-generated voiceovers of Activision executives and spliced-in gameplay from a cancelled build of Ion Fury. It ended with the slogan: "America doesn't stop. Neither does the Rush." Despite (or because of) being an obvious fake, the trailer garnered 4 million views. The keyword "American Rush 3" entered the gaming lexicon permanently. Post-Credits Scene: A black site

Because Activision has not acknowledged American Rush 3, the fans have taken over. Two major projects currently use the name as a working title. Neither is an official product, but both are playable.
