Bully: Scholarship Edition on PC was originally hard-coded to run at 30 frames per second (FPS). The 60 FPS mod (typically a simple configuration file edit or a script injection) removes this limitation, allowing the game to render at 60 FPS or higher. While significantly improving visual smoothness and input response, the mod is not official and can introduce physics, animation, and logic bugs due to the game engine’s reliance on a fixed frame rate.
