One of the biggest complaints in the previous meta was the "Hypercharge queuing" bug. If you activated your Hypercharge while being stunned (by Frank or Otis), the game would eat your charge without activating the visual effect.
The BSD fix: The server now validates Hypercharge activation after CC (Crowd Control) immunity frames. This means no more wasted charges.

Additionally, Epic Gears are no longer brawler-specific. Instead, they have been converted into a new currency: Modulation Shards, which let you convert any Gear into a "silver" version that provides half the effect but costs 50% less gold.
BSD scraps the clunky old gear system. Now, each brawler gets one unique “Core Gear” tied to their playstyle (e.g., Shelly’s Shell Shock slows enemies near walls, Colt’s Silver Bullet Reserve stores an extra ammo after a kill). No more gear tokens or scrap — just unlock via Brawl Pass or Club Coins.
