American Truck Simulator V1.40 Download

Let’s walk through a fresh installation of V1.40 for a new player who has never downloaded the game before.

Step 1: Purchase the Game You cannot download V1.40 without owning the base game. Purchase American Truck Simulator on Steam (it frequently goes on sale for under $5).

Step 2: Initial Download By default, Steam downloads the latest version (currently 1.44 or 1.45). To get V1.40, follow the "Betas" tab instructions above.

Step 3: Installation via Steam

Step 4: First Launch Launch the game. V1.40 will automatically attempt to run DirectX 11 (the lighting engine requires it). If you see a pop-up for "OpenGL," decline and choose DirectX 11.

Step 5: Profile Creation Create a new profile. Do not copy an old profile from version 1.39 or earlier, as the economy data might corrupt. If you must use an old profile, select "Load Anyway" and drive to a safe garage to sell incompatible trucks.

The in-game map and route advisor now feature better readability and smoother zooming, making trip planning across Texas, Colorado, and beyond more intuitive.

OHH MY GOD!! What a game!
Hats off to the developers of this game for the amazing achievement. This is as close as you can get to playing real cricket from your bedroom. The batting is spot on, I sometimes wonder how they were able to achieve this at all. I also love the fact the devs are constantly updating the game and are listening to the feedback. I believe this game is going to soon become one of the hottest selling VR experiences for cricket fans.

This is an absolute joy to play. There are a ton of options, including practice, coaching, different styles and level of matches and regular tournaments. When you face a spin ball or a fast ball you will know about it and if you have the skill it will feel like you have just hit a real ball for runs.
